What are the different types of label makers and what are their features?

The label makers are a type of label printers, where the latter could be desktop, industrial, and commercial. The label makers are the smallest label printers, they are handheld, and they are suitable for the small or the home office. According to the labeling mechanism, they are divided into direct thermal and thermal transfer label makers, where the former print the labels on heat sensitive paper and the labels normally fade within six to twelve months. The thermal transfer label makers transfer heat from ribbon to paper and according to the grade of the used ribbon, the thermal transfer label makers are wax, wax/resin, or resin. When it comes to features, the label makers differ from one another by the width of their screens, the number of symbols that they support, their built-in memory capacity, fonts, font sizes, formatting options, tape sizes, and colors used. Some label makers even come with touch screen, can connect to a PC or Mac, offer label preview, and come with software, which supports templates, applications, and graphics.
